The lore of 3 short dogs

Stacey started ice dyeing in January 2023, after seeing an Instagram video and saying “I could do that!” This began a journey of learning about color theory; how to fold different designs; how different temperatures impact color saturation; and all of the ins and outs of tie dyeing and ice dyeing. After she had given tie dyed items to all of her friends and family, she wanted to keep dyeing so she decided to start an Etsy shop. When thinking about names, she decided to name the business after her 3 dogs, who are all short! Caroline and Xander are Dachshund mixes and Euclid is a Jack Russell Terrier. After naming the business, Stacey had the idea that a portion of the profits should be donated to the numerous animal rescues and shelters that she follows, in order to help homeless animals and the hardworking people that keep them safe. Adopt don’t shop!

All the 3 Short Dogs Tie Dye items are made with love in our home studio in Ridgeland, Mississippi. We use a variety of blanks, both new and gently used upcycled items. 3 Short Dogs is truly a small, family business. Stacey handles the ice dyeing, photographing, marketing, social media, and customer service, while Jon handles getting everything to the post office and shipping.
